Our New Addition

Well as if things just weren't crazy enough around here we brought home our new fur baby today. I'm sure that our 10 year old boxer Emma is really impressed with us right now but the meet and greet was fairly uneventful and both are sleeping soundly. It has been soooo long since we have had a puppy or (baby) that frankly I am terrified to go to sleep tonight. He has been asleep for hours so in baby terms means that he will be up all night! (Having a 10 year old dog really spoils you). I can tell already that he is going to be spoiled rotten so it's a good thing that he has a precious face because I'm sure that this innocent act will wear off shortly. I will keep you all updated on our current status (whos training who) and be sure to post regular pics of our newly expanded family!

Sweet Dreams~

Have you made a mess today?

Sooooo it has been a few weeks since my last post and lets just say things have been busy! (busy in a fantastic way). I have been busy doing custom orders and trying to work on some things for an upcoming fall show. Here are some motherly reflections from my last week......

Since I began creating from home I have had the great realization that these are wonderful moments to bring out the creative spirit not only in myself but in my child as well. Bella had her first sewing experience a few days ago (she now thinks she is a professional) but a piece of burlap, heavy-duty thread, and a jumbo needle proved to be a great teaching tool! I must admit that we are not huge TV people in our house and we try to find alternative activites for her and feel fortunate that she enjoys creating as much as we do. Of course letting your child express themselves can come with a few messes and mishaps but in the big picture the mess is worth the fun and memories that will be made in the process. Who cares about the 5 million beads spilled on the floor or the little glob of paint that just happened to land where it shouldn't! (and yes try to remember this at the time of the "incident").

I am including pictures of some new goodies! Remember get out and make a mess today....trust me it will be worth it!

Have an amazingly messy week!
