Well it has taken me a while to gather all of my thoughts and once I did I realized that there was a lot a random thoughts going on in my head. So the question became where do I start? Since my last post was dedicated to our new addition perhaps I will start with Eddy......
The "pup-date":
We have now had Eddy for 2 weeks and lets just say that he has definetly added an extra challenge around the house! I am totally in LOVE with this dog! He is my baby and I don't care if I spoil him completely rotten. Bella has finally gotten a taste of what a sibling would be like and I don't think she is as crazy about the idea as she once thought! He picks on her, takes her toys, and creates a whole lot of chaos around the place. (but look at that face he is soooo worth it). I am afraid that Eddy is going to turn me into one of "those" people....you know the kind...the ones that carry their dogs in purses and dress them in rediculous clothes. It hasn't happened yet but I terrified the day is coming.
My Fashionista:
This morning I came to a startling revelation. It is nothing new that Bella likes to dress herself and this is something that used to completely drive me crazy (maybe it's the control freak in me) but this morning was different. She came out of her room proudly sporting a long-sleeved yellow tee shirt, army green dress with a khaki skirt underneath, black flip-flops, and a pink headband. (we are all about accessories) This is an outfit that at one time I would have taken one look at and pointed her in the direction of her room and found something more "practical". However, today I just smiled and said "Wow, that's a really great outfit"! Was it completely the truth? No...But her confidence in her choices was priceless and it made me think......Why can't I have this kind of style confidence? At least my outfits match right? A few hours later she wore a cute denim skirt, floral tank and some great cowboy boots! I have decided that I don't want to supress her sense of style nor do I want the argument! Who knows from now on I may let her pick out my clothes???? I wouldn't mind having a personal stylist!
My Latest obsessions:
I have noticed that I have mini obsessions either with items that I use to create with, things of inspiration, fashion accessories, and other random things I LOVE. Doesn't Oprah have something like this??? These are my latest:

Yo, Yo's (the fabric kind)
old picture frames
my dogs
turquoise
moccasins
cowboy boots (especially the vintage kind)
thrift stores
vintage sewing supplies
I'm sure there is more but I will have to keep adding to my list!
Upcoming shows:
October 16th is the annual Sullivan Chamber Chili Cookoff. Underground Vintage Studio will be joined by The Potting Shed to set up and show off our goodies. The fun starts at noon with chili judging at 7:30. There will also be other vendors set up, a beer tent, and lots of other fun! Come out and see us!
I think that concludes my week of random thoughts (although I know I am forgetting something)
