Making Progress

Today was a good day!  We finally began studio construction and made very good progress.  Let's just say that I sure am glad that my husband is a professional carpenter!  We have the side walls built and support posts put up for the front wall.  We have the front wall, trim, and some painting to do and then I will be ready to rock and roll!  I am officially EXCITED!!!  I will probably have to have a "Grand Opening" shin dig of sorts to celebrate the completed project.  Here are some pics from today....I wish I was a better photographer (these pics don't do the space justice)

The walls are being constructed out of old doors

These beauties are going to be the front entrance and open like french doors (I have a wonderful old architectural piece that will go over the door too....forgot to take pic)

Another reason this day was so fantastic is that my brother came home from Afghanistan!  I have had to be hush hush about the date of his arrival because we are not supposed to put return dates online....but today was the day!!!!!  I sure wish I could have been there to see those big white buses pulling in with our marine but I will see him soon!  He will be in Illinois on leave June 4th!!

I am so thankful for my wonderful family and thank God that he brought Zachary home safe...
