The First Farmhouse Market

For the last few months my mother and her friend have been busy bees prepping for the very first Farmhouse Market Show which was held at her home just outside of Sullivan.  The market was an event created to embody great primitives, local craftsmen, vintage and industrial treasures, as well as give folks a chance to hang out, relax and spend the afternoon.  Today was a hot one, but I must say the shoppers who braved the heat were not disappointed.  There were some great treasures to be found!

A huge thanks to the folks who came out to shop or visit!  (we really appreciate you braving the heat).  There will be 2 more markets this year so get ready people for more great treasures!

A Day at the Ball Park

We have a little girl who is OBSESSED with the St. Louis Cardinals.  We were at a loss as to what to get her for her birthday so Jerrod got her tickets to a game and we surprised her BIG TIME today!

Our favorite pizza is found only in Missouri so we told her that we were going to take a road trip and get some good pizza for Fathers day and her birthday.  After lunch Jerrod whipped out the tickets and I whipped out a brand new cardinals t-shirt for her.....she exclaimed "THIS IS THE BEST BIRTHDAY SURPRISE EVER!"

To say that she was excited maybe an understatement! 

We had some time to kill before lunch so we walked around the fountains, she was LOVING the pink water!

This is what you call epic self portrait FAIL.....I meant to take a pic of me and Bella but I got this guys junk instead......too funny not to share.  We decided maybe Jerrod should help us out.

Much Better

It was a HOT HOT day but we cooled down with a ginormous sno-cone....I really didn't realize how much I love of sno-cones....turns out THEY.ARE.AWESOME!

It was also free ice cream and pennant day......SCORE!

It was such a great day!  We ate good pizza, watched a good game, and topped off the trip with some white castle burgers on the way home. (not on the clean eating plan but tomorrow is a new day).
